Travel Packing Hack : What Is The Easiest Way To Save Money While Traveling?

In the year 2024 there are a handful of ways to save money while you travel but the absolute EASIEST is to not check a bag.

When flying the largest airlines in the United States: Delta Airlines, United Airlines, and American Airlines, you'll be paying an ADDITIONAL $70-$80 extra for a roundtrip DOMESTIC flight on ONE checked bag. These additional fees are even more expensive if your bag doesn't fit within their required dimensions, is overweight, or is your second checked bag.

For standard INTERNATIONAL tickets, the big three airlines will charge you DOUBLE! You'll be paying between $120-$150 extra for your first checked bag on a roundtrip international flight.

Other large airlines such as Lufthansa, Air France, KLM, British Airways, Turkish, and Air Canada have all similar fees.

We have THREE TIPS to help you not check a bag and save you tons of money. These are general carry-on luggage tips and travel packing hacks that anybody can use.

  1. Invest in high quality compression packing cubes. These will compress the air between your clothes so you can fit more in your carryon bag.
  2. Invest in reusable liquid gel dispenser pouches. Unlike bottles, these take up a lot less space in your toiletry bag.
  3. Acquire the compression packing cubes in all the same size and get the liquid gel reusable pouches in all the same size. This will save you "real estate" and prevent wasted gaps/space within your bag.

Believe it or not but we are old enough to remember when checked bags were complementary with your plane ticket.
